Hello and welcome to the Space Robots first year anniversary review. Despite the challenges we've encountered thus far, we hope you're enjoying the ride. I’m struck by how much the Elrond ecosystem has evolved since our first post.

These updates strive to highlight the full scope of our team's accomplishments to date; given that you lack access to that information. You can also see how much closer we're getting to our artistic and thematic targets of futuristic inter-planetary robotic art, as well as coming up with innovative ideas for brand-new concepts. It's important to remember that the visuals and ideas you'll see today are still under development and may undergo changes in the future.

1. A Foundation for the Future

It's a real company now, and it is ours. It will support us in our goal of becoming a global multi-layered movement focused on the narrative-rich Space Robots universe.

After doing some homework and getting a feel for the business world, we came to the conclusion that we could use the service of a company like this to help us grow and operate in an open and honest manner. Having everything under a fully registered company was the next logical step in our evolution.

Not only it will reinforce trust and be useful for operational reasons, but it will help us in implementing future initiatives in a faster manner and even attract venture capital.

We aim to become a brand identity in the future Metaverse where people could associate themselves with the Space Robots avatars in a borderless technological environment.

Mission

In the near future, Space Robots will be focusing on enhancing the utility of the customizable PFP collection by adding new and captivating RoboParts, and on getting the infrastructure set up on Elrond. To even further improve the ecosystem, several new protocols have been added to the roadmap. Read on for the “What’s next?” section to find out more!

A mid-term objective is to complete the sale minting in several batches so that the Space Robots NFT collection may be widely distributed.

Next on the pipeline will be the introduction of RoboParts-based gamified staking mechanism to the Space Robots ecosystem.

Completing the minting of the entire Space Robots NFT collection will allow us to proceed with the Space Robots Games concept.

The Space Robots STUDIO project is in the works, and we are now assisting a number of other projects by providing advice on blockchain implementation and developing 3D models and artwork. With time and further funding, we plan to launch Space Robots STUDIO officially.

Racyon Industries Foundation is hard at work on a number of Physical components of the Space Robots collection, including 3D printed collectible figurines, merchandise, and other exciting projects in the real world like Space Robots Companions, in addition to exploring Digital options like making Space Robots 3D models interactive on various platforms, Metaverses, and the NVIDIA Omniverse platform.

Space Robots aspires to become a multi-blockchain project in the future, which would allow us to reach a wider audience while also facilitating cross-platform interoperability.

Market Positioning

An #Elrond based Staking and Gamification platform that supports an Upgradable PFP collection of 7777 Story-rich #SpaceRobots with deflationary digital assets as #RoboParts.

Utility — the utility of NFTs can be quickly extended in both the digital and physical realm by linking the NFTs to use-cases like memberships, discounts, ticketing, intellectual property, and copyrighting or connecting them to DeFi projects as an asset. Read more

2. First-Year Review

There is no way to learn from previous mistakes by only looking into the future.

Building the Space Robots project from the initial design concept to where it is today was a massive challenge for our small team of 4 members. Working on the project during our off hours, including nights, weekends, and even vacation, we were at our absolute maximum capacity.

A lot of valuable lessons, such as teaching experiences, and new friendships were forged during the hectic early launch/design phase. Some of us even got burnt out and had to stand aside while other members joined to take their place.

We created the Space Robots NFT collection design, finished RoboPack sales, and managed to create a unique NFT unboxing experience. At that point, the hard job began. Working on complex blockchain projects is not only extremely time-consuming, but also requires a dedicated group of individuals to cooperatively get a successful end result.

There are things we did correctly and of which we can be justifiably proud, and there are other things that provided us with an ideal opportunity to learn. As we developed unique experiences through design and art, we donated to TeamSeas and Binance Charity, and hosted over thirty events/giveaways in which participants not only received prizes but also gained entertainment and knowledge for the brain teasers. We had to be flexible, persistent, and able to draw lessons from whatever decision we made since not everything went according to plan. When we made a mistake that could be fixed, we took responsibility for it and acted accordingly. Nevertheless, many of you stayed with us, and others dropped by periodically to provide us helpful criticism.

We are astonished how people's fundamental beliefs in the project have been shaped so far, and how circumstances beyond our control have progressed. Therefore, we would like to express our gratitude for allowing us to experience these things and for the possibility to grow as a result.

3. What’s Next?

Space Robots: Metaverse Ecosystem

Where the SPACE ends, the METAVERSE begins.

— Our new slogan is an attempt to capture the whole scope of our Ecosystem, including the Space in which our avatars will exist and all the infrastructure that will be established upon it, unlocking the early stages of the Metaverse.

Robots, assemble! Here follows an introduction to the Space Robots NFT world and everything that it entails.

Upgrading Protocol

Upgrade your Space Robot NFTs with over 200 RoboPart model designs to improve the visual appeal and increase its Staking gamified value.

There will be three distinct rollouts of the Upgrading Protocol.

The first stage is complete, consisting of a front- and back-end application that doesn't require Smart Contracts.

In the second stage, users are able to utilize their Space Robots and RoboParts to carry out the Upgrading activities, which has important Web3 ramifications.

In stage three, we'll be able to aggregate RoboPart listings from the Elrond NFT marketplaces, giving you a one-stop shop to purchase any missing assets frictionless in a snap.

The used RoboParts are getting burned in the Upgrading process.

MetaMog Protocol

Choose any RoboPart you own to change the aesthetics of your SpaceRobot NFT without affecting its performance stats in any way.

This protocol will allow you to use a weaker RoboPart on your SR for a better aspect while saving/keeping the initial stats of the stronger RoboPart. This is useful if, for example, you have a strong Hands Robopart but don't like how it looks and would love to attach a weaker one, because you love the aesthetics.

The RoboPart is getting burned in the process.

Juxtapose Protocol

Get a higher rank RoboPart by burning any three of the same rarity.

Each Season*, Juxtaposing will be rewarded with a unique RoboPart for each rarity, scaling** up the Total Points (TP) numbers.

The greatest Total Points value across all rarities will be held by Juxtaposed RoboParts. For instance, a Common Juxtapose RoboPart excels over the Common RoboPart in every way.

*Introducing Seasons in our ecosystem. Including but not limited to Staking and Juxtaposing, each season will provide a fresh crop of digital assets and collections to harvest their rewards.

**The Staking system's metagame will be defined by the Scaling concept. Given the burning mechanisms in place, by Season 10 the staking power of RoboParts from Season 1 will be negligible, turning them into valuable collectible artifacts that become scarcer and harder to come by.

Tokenomics

Our intention is to create a decentralised autonomous organisation (Central Cosmic Furnace*) governed with a utility token that is held collectively by its community peers and can only be mined through Staking. This is still up for debate within the project team.

This token plays an essential role to the functioning of the whole ecosystem, since all protocols will be charged using such token.

*Tokens burnt in past iterations of Upgrading, MetaMogrify, Juxtapose, etc. are the fuel of Central Cosmic Furnace, a notion for a decentralised decision-making system at the project level. It will be useful for making decisions like whether to burn the tokens, allocate tokens toward project's development, or add liquidity to the pool.

SpaceCruisers Protocol

It's an owner-tenant relationship concept where all the participants receive token yield increase and the owner of a SpaceCruiser might potentially rent out unused space in its spacecraft to other users. In exchange, the landlord will get a certain percentage of the tenants’ rewards.

Market conditions could influence whether you should decide to boost your token bags or stake for RoboParts instead.

Staking Protocol

Instead of making the Staking process too complicated, we opted to create a more gamified ecosystem where participants could earn RoboParts and Tokens for their contributions and put them to good use.

Participants will receive the utility token as well as a specific RoboPart from collections that are different with each season. No further RoboParts will ever be added to a collection after they have reached their allowed quota.

Staking Periods and Tiers form the two main components of the Staking process. The Upgrading protocol enables you to increase your Space Robots NFT's Staking Power and, consequently, its Tier eligibility — S Tier, A Tier, B Tier, C Tier, No Tier.

Starting with RoboParts, the inaugural Staking season will have a unified reward structure. The exclusive article on Staking will provide further context and depth.

Robocell

Robocell is going to be the project's energy-boosting centerpiece.

The Robocell owners will get access to a variety of new features and enhancements, including Supercharge, SpeedUp, Cooldown removal*, and many more. In addition, you'll become more dominant in the ecosystem due to the Staking mechanism's and the Space Robots: Mines War exclusive benefits.

*Future WikiPages will detail the project's additional features, such as the Supercharge, SpeedUp, and Cooldown removal.

Official Rarity Tools and Statistics

Dynamic OnChain Data reflecting the current state of the Space Robots ecosystem’s assets.

If you've recently Upgraded your Space Robots NFT and are curious about your current rank or rarity, or you'd rather want to find out the number of nonces who share the exact Body&Head matching combination, this is the tool you are looking for. Here you can get a grasp on the ecosystem's overall statistics, allowing you to fine-tune your strategy and make better-informed decisions.

Ticketing System dAPP

A method whereby the amount of entries you may redeem to an event is proportional to the value of the assets you own in just one click.

Such tool will provide with utility based on the NFT/SFT assets you own, including Space Robots NFT, RoboParts, RoboPacks, Robocell, Space Robots Backgrounds, Space Peace and Bonus NFTs such as GolBotWarrior, PunkBotRunner2368, DestroyerTS, ElrondWarBot and JollyBots.

Space Robots: The Game

We are now leaning toward "Mines Wars," a Web3 browser-based real-time strategy game, while still evaluating our alternatives.

Despite making significant progress in writing the Game Design document, we have not yet come up with a long-term solution for the game economy. Finding the optimal balance between risk and reward has been difficult so far, despite our numerous attempts to iterate the proposal internally.

There is now a wide range of arguments available outlining why a Play to Earn concept game cannot survive in the long run, and history bears this up with the fall of several previous endeavors with similar goals. We would rather learn from the mistakes of our predecessors and take the time to fully test iterations until we  design a game that people genuinely enjoy playing without adding any unnecessary risk.

As soon as we reach our public sale goal, we will make our final game decision. For the time being, we're taking it slow on this one so that we can fully grasp the consequences and make the best decision for the long-term security of the Space Robots project.

Nonetheless, we intend to share the current version of the Game Design document with the community soon so that we can discuss different ideas and take your valuable feedback into consideration before the final decision is made.

We've been working tirelessly over the past months to assist projects like Omniscient Tools and Nifty Rex with their 3D artwork, Elrond blockchain implications, and various problems that have arisen along the way. The steepness of the learning curve was amazing, and it was an excellent test for us.

Space Robots: Companions

An AI desk-companion, whose personality and quirks are formed based on its interaction with its environment.

The Companion will be able to recognize individual faces and names, take pictures, play and dance to music, set reminders, tell you the weather and accept high fives very adorably. Its physical modular structure will allow exciting new ways to personalize it through the attachment of real RoboParts.

This risky undertaking is, as you might expect, connected to our ultimate goals. Achieving this in the next years is an ambitious plan, but we also think it's feasible and has good odds of materializing. The objective is to develop a minimal viable product (MVP) and a compelling pitch in order to approach investors with manufacturing know-how who could appreciate the invention's commercial potential.

4. Closing thoughts

It's been a mixed blessing of ups and downs emotionally thus far. We repeatedly emphasized our efforts and persisted in making the most out of resource constraints. Thus, we recognized the necessity for clarity to confront a strategy and manifest a vision. We've been putting in long hours developing a brand-appropriate cultural viewpoint. Do we think it's perfect? Don't even think about it; the answer is no. Have we set our sights on the impossible? It bears repeating that we have not.
