Decode Stadacona Queries: Space Robots 2024

Recently, a community member, Stadacona, sent us several questions, and we've decided to share the answers in a public interview format so everyone can satisfy their curiosity. The original questions have been slightly edited for clarity but retain their original intent.

Stadacona: I have some questions concerning Space Robots. I'd like to know, what's your schedule for the upcoming year with Space Robots? You'll be willing to share the answers with the other Robots!

//1 Q

Could you let me know your schedule for the upcoming year with Space Robots?

SR: For 2024, we will focus on three main components: the ΣUpgrade protocol on Mainnet, ΣData, and DApp / Website Upgrade design and content. We plan to release all of them as soon as possible to fine-tune and improve them based on community feedback.

ΣMining our staking mechanism is next, followed by all the RoboParts deflationary architectures we plan to introduce in our ecosystem. At the moment, we can't tell how long that will take. However, as you can read in our #SpaceLog updates, we progress towards these goals weekly.

//2 Q

The "Bull Run" seems to be picking up steam again. Things will start moving faster in the coming months, and I'm curious to know how much you'll be repositioning yourselves in the NFT market.

SR: Our approach has always been to avoid overhyping our initiatives to provoke emotional decisions. True to our robotic nature, our marketing strategies are grounded in logic rather than emotion.

Our priority remains to build something worthwhile for the project technology-wise and have fun doing it. I would mention that over 90% of NFT projects have vanished for multiple reasons, including mismanaged funding. We have our own mistakes in this area, but rest assured, we can continue developing and have enough funding to build the original Space Robots project vision.

//3 Q

How are Space Robots' finances? Do you plan to accelerate product development as EGLD progresses?

SR: As mentioned earlier, we still have funding to continue building. We are working with three developers who joined us as enthusiastic community members who wanted to go deeper into Web 3 development. Their passion allows us to stretch our funds to continue building.

However, integrating blockchain data into traditional Web2 can be challenging; sometimes, we find ourselves waiting for the MultiversX team to solve an issue or provide information on something missing from the documentation. But we're adaptable — we've tweaked our app's backend multiple times already, tackling problems head-on and celebrating each win before moving on to the next challenge.

To answer your second question, if the resources allow, we plan to accelerate product development. Having more developers or externalizing some of the duties to another team is an option. It depends on how the market will evolve in the following period.

// 4 Q

When do you plan to highlight the Public Sale?

SR: At present, we do not have a definitive answer. Since securing initial funding for the project, significant changes have occurred in the NFT marketplace and the broader cryptocurrency sector. So, the project's goals evolved as the Roadmap was expanded and changed to bring actual value and a use case for the Space Robots holders. We will expand on this in a future article, but you read the closest goals on the Recap 2023 blog post.

We are working with the funds we have and want to achieve the project's fundamental objectives: launching Upgradeable NFTs on the mainnet and establishing a dynamic RoboPart ecosystem.

When that is achieved, we will reevaluate market conditions, our user base, and the project activity to decide on the next steps.

// 5 Q

What's your strategy for attracting new adopters during the "Bull"? I am worried we may be missing out.

SR: That's an excellent question. It's essential to understand why we want to attract new adopters. Is it to increase the price of the NFTs, spread awareness of our project mission, or attract new people to the MultiversX ecosystem? We are always trying to find a balanced approach. Because one of the reasons why we started this project is to help Elrond and now MultiversX grow.

To attract new users as we build and grow, we'll share stories and create new content that dives deeper into the Space Robots universe, generating engagement and building interactive activities.

// 6 Q

I don't feel the momentum returning to the project right now, but I feel a general momentum in CT! I'm not an NFT guy, but Space Robots caught my eye years ago, and I fell in love with it. I know I'm not alone.

SR: Crypto Twitter is always an effective tool for measuring overall market sentiment. Indeed, things are starting to move forward, and we look at CT as the first layer of spreading such momentum. We are still a small project compared to the global industry. And when I say we, I think about MultiversX as a whole rather than Space Robots as a movement. When the opportunity arises, we will be here to give our best and seize our chance.

// 7 Q

I'm glad to trust you, and I know you'll continue to build, even in adversity, but I'd like to have a comprehensive overview of the project and the mid-term vision. I know the money will come back into the market in the next year, and I'd like to know how you'll work to capture it.

SR: We genuinely appreciate the support and motivation from you and other community members. The pace of change in the crypto space is rapid, and sometimes, we need to pause and reassess whether our current direction aligns with the plans we set last year or even last quarter. We are committed to revisiting such plans and strategies and will contact you as soon as we believe changes are required.

// End

Thanks for being there and working hard. Jef
